今天(10日)是中華民國105年國慶，蔡英文總統上午9時30分先在總統府內接受外賓致賀。總統穿著黑色長褲套裝，內搭白色上衣，與副總統陳建仁伉儷一一與外賓握手及簡短寒暄。
之後，總統將於10時20分出席在總統府前舉行的「中華民國中樞暨各界慶祝105年國慶大會」，並發表上任後的首次國慶演說。
根據總統府發言人黃重諺表示，總統的國慶演說主題是「堅定向前，讓國家因改革而偉大」，內容除了提到她及政府團隊的施政主軸與國家藍圖、台灣在國際參與上的努力與成果外，也將再度說明對於兩岸關係的立場與善意。
總統將重申她在就職演說時所強調，會以「中華民國憲法」及「兩岸人民關係條例」及其他相關法律處理兩岸關係。政府也會尊重1992年兩岸兩會會談的歷史事實，呼籲雙方共同珍惜20多年來雙方交流的成果。
